What we've been up to this month:

  1. We’ve finally launched our new website and switched all our emails over from .com to .org! Find the website here.
  2. We’ve recruited 3 new members of staff to a) support our existing programme in Lambeth and b) to kick-off our brand new BREAKTHROUGH programme, which will see us working with a new cohort of younger care-experienced people from year 10 onwards!
  3. We’re still looking for a Youth Careers Advisor to support our new programme. Take a look here.
  4. We’ve published a couple of new videos on our youtube channel portraying the challenges of getting into work for care-experienced young people

  5. At the beginning of May, we had a fabulous Aim Higher Day with our corporate partners at Tideway (they’re building the London super sewer). The day included a trip on the clipper along the river Thames where a group of 7 young people were introduced to the ins and outs of the London super sewer, the environmental impact and lots more.

"It was a good experience. I learnt a lot about tunneling and saw different things from new perspectives. It has made me more interested in the work placement opportunities with the company. It has opened my eyes." – Gregory, 21
