What we've been up to this month:

London Office move

We are delighted to announce that PAPYRUS in London has moved! We are now based 2 minutes walk from Chancery Lane Tube Station, at the Royal College of Medicine, 7-9 Bream’s Buildings, London EC4A 1DT.  One reason for the move is that this office is fully accessible, which means we can run more training and awareness raising workshops from there.

PAPYRUS is often been asked about available volunteering opportunities and to that end we have recently launched our ChampionsProgramme.

Champions are people who can commit to helping out around half a day every month, whether that be by supporting PAPYRUS on stands at various events in the London area, or by delivering a  30 minute suicide awareness raising sessions in your local community, either to groups you have found yourselves or groups that have contacted PAPYRUS.  Don’t worry – we will give you the relevant. You will take the Talking about suicide training (3 hours) followed by the Champion training (4 hours).

If you are interested in exploring this please contact us at [email protected] mention that you’re a Raise Your Hands member.

Suicide Safer London Schools

Thanks to funding received we are have now delivered training to staff in 62 London schools to help them keep themselves and their students safer from suicide.  If any Raise Your Hands Members work in schools, or who might have contacts in schools who would like to find out more about this, please email [email protected]
