What we've been up to this month:

March was an extremely busy and exciting month, which included our Gala Dinner 2017. We are thrilled to let you know that we raised an incredible £800,000 on the night, thanks to our overwhelmingly generous supporters, fabulous celebrity ambassadors and loyal patrons.

The month's ahead will include our fundraisers running the London Marathon, trekkers preparing for our charity challenge to Namibia, events taking place and plans underway for new and innovative ways in which you can get involved with Grief Encounter. As always if you would like to contact our fundraising team for tips and ideas, get in touch with us!

Gala Dinner 2017

After a year of meticulous planning, our Gala Dinner was held in London on the 13th March. With Katherine Jenkins OBE performing and Lee Nelson compering, we are so proud to say we raised an amazing £800,000! Thank you to all those attending for their generosity!

Rio: 'Being Mum and Dad'

This month saw Rio Ferdinand in his emotional BBC1 documentary, 'Being Mum and Dad'.

We are proud to say we consulted on the making of this documentary. Dr Shelley Gilbert MBE comments "Rio demonstrated that it's not just about talking, crying and counselling, but facing the fear, giving yourselves the one thing that's been taken away - time together. Rio included the children too, who are often misunderstood or overlooked. He demonstrated how families may need different kinds of support along the long and winding road."
