What we've been up to:

The past couple of months have been fantastic in terms of the profile raised for FBB. We have been part of a series of activities events with footballers. This includes a launch event in Manchester of our work in the region with footballers Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Nemanja Matic and Manchester United Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Participants also got to attend the Manchester United versus Watford Premier League match. The first time they had been to a professional match at a stadium. Meanwhile others went to the Nelson Mandela Legacy exhibition.
Some of our participants also met with England star Raheem Sterling after the England versus Czech Republic at Wembley. He kindly donated his match day shirt signed by all his team mates. A video message from him went viral with Sky Sports sharing it and journalist Henry Winter mentioning it on Radio 4.
One of standout participants is Moses. He is a year 8 boy on our programme at the Elm Green School. Moses is the oldest sibling in his family, he has struggled to continue living under the care of his mother and now lives with his father, Moses is on a Child in Protection Plan and concerns over physical abuse from his father remain. Last he had one of the worst number of behaviour points in the year group and was very disruptive. Since joining the FBB programme he has seen a 48% reduction in behaviour points and reports being much more confident.
