What we've been up to this month:

PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide commissioned a YouGov survey which found that although one in ten teaching professionals (11%) say a student shares suicidal thoughts with them once a term or more, only half (53%) said they would feel confident that they could support a student who had shared those thoughts with them.

At PAPYRUS we believe that schools could, and need to do more to help reduce the numbers of school children taking their own lives and as a result have launched a campaign to Save The #ClassOf2018

We’ve produced a new suicide prevention guide for teachers and school staff, ‘Building suicide-safer schools and colleges’, which is available to download from our website.

We would encourage all Raise Your Hands members who are teachers, have friends who are teachers, or who have school aged children to please share this and together we can help #saveyounglives
