What we've been up to this month:

The month saw all young people from our employability programme “Get Fit 4 Employment” take part in mock interviews with local businesses based in Birmingham. Staff from the businesses interviewed the young people for a job they would like to do. Following the interview, young people receive feedback to help them improve their technique for future interviews.

Zainab (pictured above) had her mock interview with staff from law firm Clarke Willmott, and had this to say,

“I was nervous and excited before my interview; the set up is just like a proper interview. The feedback I received was really useful and I think will really help me with future interviews. The interviewers were really friendly and helped to boost my confidence by telling me what I did well, and also things that I could improve on. I’ve never had this type of feedback before, so I really appreciate the support that has been offered.”

Over 50 young people were able to benefit from mock interviews this month. A big thank you to Deutsche Bank, Clarke Willmott, Zurich, and PwC for supporting our young people.
