What we've been up to this month:

Kidscape are getting ready for Anti-Bullying Week, which kicks off on 11th November. This year’s theme is “Change Starts With Us”, highlighting the role we all play in preventing and effectively responding to bullying. Kidscape will be raising awareness of ways to build a community of support and create a friendlier, kinder world.

Kidscape’s focus will be on early years, because children are never too young to begin exploring friendship and kindness, and these skills and ideas can stay with them for the rest of their lives.
To reflect this, Kidscape is celebrating Friendship Friday featuring beloved children’s character Elmer the Patchwork Elephant. The Friendship Friday early years pack is stuffed with activities for little ones including spreading love and happiness, making someone smile, laughing with (not at) others, helping one another, celebrating difference and making sure everyone is included - ideas raised in the Elmerbooks.

So far hundreds of schools, nurseries and libraries have downloaded the resources; if you’d like to join in the fun, download from our website.
Building a community of support shouldn’t just be limited to little ones though. At the other end of the age range, Kidscape is launching a new programme for grown-ups in the workplace. We know that our fantastic Kidscape tools are highly effective in making bullying stop among children and young people: three quarters of children who learn about the Kidscape tools see a significant and sustained drop in bullying.

That’s why we’re launching Help With Bullying In The Workplace, to empower adults with the very same skills which everyone can benefit from.
We all have a role to play in building a world free from bullying and harm. What will you do to join us?
