What we've been up to this month:

The summer holidays are usually a quieter time for Kidscape as we work a lot with schools. However, we’re all ready to get back to school!

Our Extremism and Radicalisation Awareness (EARA) programme is preparing sessions with schools to train staff and students in prevention. Our THRIVE peer mentoring programme in Wiltshire is preparing to receive its second cohort after an outstanding first year where most targets were met or exceeded, and there was overwhelmingly positive feedback from staff, mentors and mentees alike. Our ZAP workshops will be running from September onwards in Birmingham, Leicester, London, Newcastle and South Shields, with 14 workshops for bullied children and their carers running in the upcoming term.

And finally, here’s two save-the-dates. Friendship Friday, Kidscape’s annual celebration on fantastic friends, will be taking place on November 10th. This year, we’ll have some activities for the grown-ups to participate in, too, so watch this space. After Friendship Friday comes Anti-Bullying Week from 13th-17th November. We’ll have resources ready for schools to raise awareness of this important issue.
