Lost 4 Words What we've been up to this month: We are so excited to reveal that we have been nominated for a Charity Film Award for our recent 15th Anniversary Appeal Film: 15 years of Grief Encounter. You can vote for us to win here We are excited to announce that we have partnered with the ESFA (English Schools Football Association) to raise awareness of childhood bereavement in schools around the country. We will be working together for the 19/20 season, promoting our helpline at the matches and training grounds for the ESFA, and also providing lesson plans from our clinical team to the schools the ESFA work with. Children’s Grief Awareness Week (CGAW) begins on the 15th November and runs through until the 21st November. This year’s theme is #Lost4Words and will be launched online to encourage conversations about childhood grief. So often, words are hard to find, both from bereaved young people, and their peers and friends. We hope that we can give a public voice to the young bereaved in society in this years campaign. Go Purple! You can get involved this CGAW by going purple in aid of children’s grief awareness. Ask your organisation, school or workplace to wear purple for the day, have a purple bake sale, go for a purple pedi… for a small donation of £2 a person. In October, Mulberry hosted their famous annual sample sale in Regent Street, London, with all front of house profits donated to Grief Encounter South West.
