What we've been up to this month:

“I just wanted to thank you and all the team for such a wonderful day yesterday. Truly, it was brilliant; [my son] loved it and he gets so much out of the workshops which help bring him into the play, and I could cry because it also allows the rest of us in the family to just sit back for a short while and enjoy a little bit too. Thank you all so very much.” – Parent, Envision

In August we took 13 families to see Half A Sixpence at the Noël Coward Theatre for a toe-tapping Envision day. Envision gives visually impaired young people the chance to enjoy an audio-described West End show, with workshops and a touch tour to help them understand and enjoy the performance.

The participants had a great time in the workshops exploring the show’s characters and using physical theatre to build ‘machines’ with their bodies. They were also met by members of the cast for the touch tour, including star of the show, Charlie Stemp! More importantly, the day provided an opportunity for them to enjoy a visit to the theatre with their family, something they are not always able to do.
